My name is Dr. Larry Wallen. I am a Midwest native that was born and raised in a small town an hour south of Chicago, Illinois. I come from a family of six and am the oldest of 4 siblings. I have always been a health conscious individual that enjoys sports, working out, and relaxing with family and friends.
I have always had a passion to help people, but it was not until I was in college that I realized I wanted to become a chiropractor. I watched my father have surgery after surgery to address his neck and back issues but to no avail. He had to retire prematurely from a successful dental career due to his chronic pain and unsuccessful surgeries. I knew there had to be a better way to address and prevent these types of conditions. Then I, myself had my own bouts of discomfort and sought relief for back and neck pain with chiropractic care and experienced some remarkable results! Chiropractic opened a whole new world to me! Not only did it relieve me of my pain and symptoms, but it showed me a bigger picture, it got my life back in a natural holistic way and corrected my problems as opposed to masking them!
I knew that I wanted to help people in the same manner that chiropractic has helped me. After graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Integrative Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. Throughout my academic and clinical career at Palmer my dream of helping people was being fulfilled one patient at a time. On my chiropractic journey, I have had the privilege of going to Vietnam on a clinic abroad trip. This was one of the most gratifying experiences I have ever had in my life. I graduated Palmer in the Spring of 2010 as part of the Pi Tau Delta Chiropractic Honor Society, on the Dean's List, a Presidential Scholar, with Summa Cum Laude honors and received the Palmer Achievement Award.
After attending Palmer, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to intern and then work at two of the most successful chiropractic offices in the nation. I interned at Freedlund Family Chiropractic in Winnebago, IL then worked at Harless Family Chiropractic in Dundee, MI for three years. While living in Michigan I met my wife Dolores. We moved to Florida in the Winter of 2012 to open up the office. I am blessed to love what I do and enjoy sharing my passion with my patients. I'm grateful to be apart of such a wonderful community. I have a vision of creating a healthier community one person at a time. I look forward to helping you achieve your health care goals!
Yours in health,
Dr. Larry Wallen
